![]() ![]() ![]() She knows the only person who can help her is Adair, the immortal who had turned her and ultimately made the better part of her life hell. Luke is stricken with cancer and once she's buried yet another lover, Lenore realises she must help Jonathan, or go mad. Lenore is certain that only she can save him. The only things that shadow their life together are the nightmares about Jonathan (the man she'd always considered her great love) being brutally tortured in the underworld. Lenore has spent the past four years living a content life with Luke, the doctor who gave up everything for her. Katsu's conclusion to her dark tale of the obsessive love of two immortals is every bit as engrossing as its predecessors, The Taker and The Reckoning. Here, After by Mahir Pradana5/27/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() There are five generations, and they are categorized based on sociocultural aspects like historical events as well as demographic information like birth year. Nearly a quarter of them acknowledge that they do not have a point of reference for how many education dollars need to be budgeted. According to IPSOS 2017 data (Primadhyta, 2017), more than 70% of Indonesian parents rely on their monthly income for their children's education and expenses, and as many as 86% of parents are willing to give up their retirement funds to meet their children's educational needs. According to data from a survey conducted by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), only 12.6% of Indonesia's population has good financial planning (Annur, 2020). Annur, ( 2020) estimates that there are already 274 million people living in Indonesia. According to population, Indonesia is the fourth-largest nation on earth. ![]()

![]() Therefore, a lot of the information was good, but not completely relevant to me. The authors say five is usually the minimum age before a child's love language can be determined as it's prone to fluctuate in the early years. My child is only two which is a bit young for her love language to be obvious. I know that was not the authors' intention and maybe not everyone will get that feeling, but that's how it was for me.The 5 Love Languages of Children is geared for children above age five. At times, the book was a bit overwhelming to me as it felt like I have to do everything perfectly or I'm going to really mess my child up. ![]() There is a full chapter as well as a love language “game” at the end dedicated to help parents correctly identify how a child gives and receives love. The explanations of each language were informative, but the real life examples were what I found to be most helpful. ![]() Parents are encouraged to love their children unconditionally, which is sometimes not as easy as one would assume it to be, and to successfully express that love to a child.I found The 5 Love Languages of Children to be insightful and challenging. ![]() Each of the five love languages is explained and examples are given of how to use (and how not to use) a child's love language. Ross Campbell apply Chapman's popular concept of the five love languages to the parent-child relationship. ![]()

The worst years of my life book5/27/2023 ![]() ![]() The mood of the book makes Rafe neither scared nor afraid to break the rules. The tone of the book is that Rafe is feeling hard headed, embarrassed, and brave. The book sounded like it’s in first person point of view because Rafe was telling how “he’d “did while he’s in school. ![]() Like chewing gum in class–5,000 points, running in the hallway–10,000 point, pulling the fire alarm–50,000 points, and many more. Falling in love with hominids5/27/2023 ![]() ![]() I decided early on to get this book on audible and listen to it as I did my crafting or pottered around the house – I had used audio books like this before, especially when working on a cross stitch, or other methodical, mechanical projects. Our overarching theme is post-apocalypse and this collection seemed to fit in right from the very first story, though afterwards it opened up into general surreal and fiction story telling – a welcome shift for me, as Hopkinson’s writing style has practically everything I look for when reading short stories. ![]() Nalo Hopkinson’s Falling in Love with Hominids is this year’s compilation of short stories. ![]()

Nevada binnie novel5/27/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() “What other random weirdos are out there making art we don’t yet know should exist, trans or otherwise?” Trans people are too varied for any book to be The Great Trans Novel, and Nevada is very specifically about young fuck-up white queer trans women - and everyone I know who responded to it usually fell into at least several of those categories. ![]() Now, to be clear: I don’t mean to say that Nevada spoke to every transsexual out there. This all happened despite little conventional book publicity, and this moment not only inspired my own writing, but has stayed with me forever when I consider what books can actually do. In 2014, when Sybil Lamb and I toured our own books for Nevada’s original publisher Topside Press, I’ve Got a Time Bomb and A Safe Girl to Love, Sybil would often say to majority-trans audiences: “Anyone know Imogen Binnie?” and the crowd would always cheer. One girl threw the book onto the subway tracks because a scene made her so upset, then she immediately bought another copy. There was even an invite-only group called: “People Who Need to Talk About Nevada By Imogen Binnie.” There was fan art and fan fiction. ![]() My Facebook was wallpapered with exegeses of Maria and James H (the book’s other protagonist). They were communal in the most literal of ways. These reactions weren’t isolated from each other. ![]()

Wonder woman 2016 1 greg rucka5/27/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() While the comic has not plainly expounded on the sexual or romantic lives of Diana or her sister Amazons, it has alluded to them. Wonder Woman: Year One is a long gestating passion project between Rucka and Scott, a retelling and recodification of the character’s origin story for the modern reader that has been running in alternating issues of Wonder Woman since June. In a long interview dense with discussion of creative intention and identity representation in media, past and current Wonder Woman writer Greg Rucka confirmed to Comicosity’s Matt Santori-Griffith that in his ongoing run, Diana of Themyscira is queer.Īfter asking whether Wonder Woman, as Rucka and artist Nicola Scott have presented her in their Year One story arc was queer, Santori-Griffith clarified, "For the purposes of this conversation, I would define 'queer' as involving, although not necessarily exclusively, romantic and/or sexual interest toward persons of the same gender." ![]()

Read moreĬross my Heart, Hope to Die is the penultimate chapter in the Lying Game series. I love this series and I'm sad that the next book is the last one, but I'm sure everything will wrap up and I'll find out everything by then. I'm giving this book 5 stars because I love the way it was written, and not only is Emma's character interesting, but so are Sutton's flashbacks she has when something triggers a part of her memory. I get so into the story that I flip through the pages, forgetting the world behind me. I love the way this series is written because even though there is 336 pages, it feels like there's about 100. Yet again Emma has crossed of another name on her list of people who she think killed Sutton, but when someone special comes back to town suspicions start to rise again.Taking right off from the 4th book, Cross My Heart, Hope to Die grabs your attention from the very beginning. ![]() Only a few people know that Emma is not Sutton Mercer, her sister, but if the murderer finds out that she told someone bad things could happen to them.
